So you are trying to run your motherboard without a CPU in it? Perhaps just wait for your processor .. install it .. and then see what it does.

Hi everyone, I bought the ASRock b450m pro4 two days ago. However, i'm experiencing some issues. I can't get the motherboard to post. There's no indication that anything is wrong besides the fans not spinning. I read that some motherboards won't do anything (including spinning fans?) when there's no CPU installed, which is the case here. My CPU, the AMD Ryzen 7 2700 will arrive in a couple of days. Does anyone know if that is the case for this specific motherboard? I was also struggling to figure out how to connect the system panel connectors. Here's what I tried: * Jump started the PSU, that worked * Removed the RAM sticks * Plugged all power cables, including the cpu power cable, into the motherboard * Tried to jump start the motherboard using a screwdriver * Removing the battery from the motherboard and putting it back in * Getting the motherboard out of the case to make sure nothing is shortening it I also checked for visible damages, but the top and bottom seems to be completely intact. Not sure what else to try here. Any help would be seriously appreciated. |
