Same problem here. The front Audio connector seems broken. The microphone makes insane noise and nothing I say is audible.
The SB fan spins like crazy because Asrock screwed up something with the cooling solution on the southbridge... Mine sits around at 71C at idle where it should sit at 50C When gaming the SB sits at 76C and this is wintertime... When summer comes it will reach 80C. I am kinda sick of this board. |

Can you just set the fan to run at constant 70% in UEFI (BIOS)?

I have two problems with the motherboard.
The first problem occurred from the first day and its related to the microphone. I have tested a lot of microphones that work perfectly with any other pc I have and either the sound is to low, when I connect directly the microphone pin on the motherboard slot, either I have a crazy noise if I connect a camera with microphone via USB. The second problem appeared one month after purchase. It's related to SB fan. Most of the time when the pc starts the fan seems to not be able to speen properly and make a crazy noise. When I check the fan speed it can't go over 1000 rpm. If I shut it down from the utility and restart it, many times I can solve the problem. Then the fan is able to speen with around 4000 rpm. I spoke once with the place I bought the motherboard but they told me the only thing they can do is to send the motherboard for check outside Greece. This is a big problem because I will stey a lot of days without my PC which is absolutely necessary for my work. |
