@datonyb, I also thought about the possibility they only tested with 2 DIMMs out of the 4 included in the kit, but this is crazy. Who buys a kit of 4 to only use 2? I want to believe it's a mistake in the QVL, especially because if you use my link to that memory's presentation page from gskill.com and then click on QVL you will see X570 Taichi listed there... but then what is the value of ASRock's Memory QVL... This confusion seriously makes me doubt ASRock.

they tested it with 2 sticks from a quad kit

it is a bit hard for people to use the qvl to find a match when in reality
with your gskill example the ram code would be 'D' AND NOT 'Q'

for a dual kit instead of quad

I'm looking at X570 Taichi's Memory QVL and need help understanding the meaning of the "DIMM Socket Support" column.

Its value is either "2" or "2/4". I assumed 2 means the entry passed tests with 2 DIMMs and 2/4 means it passed tests with both 2 and 4 DIMMs.

However, either my assumption is wrong or there's something wrong with entries like that for G.Skill F4-3200C14Q-64GVK because it has "2" for DIMM Socket Support even though it's a 4x 16 GB DIMMs (64 GB total) kit. It makes no sense to put it on the QVL with only 2 DIMMs so... what's going on here?
