Hello, I need help with the same situation. I have the W480 Creator MoBo, I have the optane 800P card inserted in M2_3. The documentation says that all three M2 slots on the W480 Board support optane, however under the UEFI EZ Mode main screen, M2_3 shows N/A. When I switch to Advanced mode -> Advanced -> Storage Configuration, M2_1, which is my Samsung 980 boot drive, and M2_3 show up for the option to remap. However when I enable the Teton Glacier mode AND enable remapping of the M2_3 optane drive, the board never boots and just conti ues to power cycle until the UEFI is reset to defaults. I have updated the W80 UEFI to the latest 1.50 firmware.
Please assist me as I would very much like to use this Optane 800P chip that I purchased! |

Dear Hermes11,
Thank you for posting your query to the ASRock forum. Regarding your question about using the Optane, kindly load the BIOS settings to the default. Please check the official site for Optane driver and the slots where the Optane memory needs to be installed. e.g. X299 Taichi 1. Check the storage section to see which slot will support the Optane memory. https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/X299%20Taichi/index.asp#Specification 2. Install the Optane driver from the link below and configure the Optane via the Optane driver. https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/X299%20Taichi/index.asp#Download With thanks, ASRock TSD |

Hi, I?™m super new at all of this but I?™ve had this computer for about three years now, and I?™ve never had any issues with it. Recently we had a power outage for a second while I was using the PC and it had trouble turning on, after messing around in UEFI I finally managed to get it to restart but the problem now is with my HDD and Intel Optane. when I set SATA mode to intel RST with Optane, the system does not read my HDD at all, just my SSD. (From which Windows boots from) when I change it to AHCI though, both my SSD and HDD drives show up fine, but Intel Optane Memory does not work at all. I didn?™t make any major changes to the hardware whatsoever, all I did was mess with UEFI. When I reset to default settings on UEFI too, it changes it to AHCI but Intel Optane still doesn?™t work. How do I get it back to normal?
