Sounds like DDR4 not set correct to the motherboard and CPU, I think specifically CAD_BUS, hence I recommend you use Dram calculator and go through the official steps recommended by 1usmus = https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-memory-tweaking-overclocking-guide/ Also the procODT is very important to get correct. If both CAD_BUS and procODT are on botherline, then it will exactly happen as what you wrote, sometimes ON sometimes no ON. On some PCs it would beep warning 3 times then boot. Also a setting mismatch as CAD_BUS and procODT in bios. I think. Welcome any other gurus to fill in the gaps. |

it's been a little while since I was really in the game, but I have experienced issues like what you are describing. It was not like I ever specifically solved the problems, (like found that one bad setting or one bad part) I would disassemble the system clean everything and reassemble and stability would return. I would chalk it up to contacts that did not make consistent connections.
The most problematic (I feel like) spot is the memory contacts? hope this helps good luck with it |

Ryzen 1600
2060 RTX ASROCK AB350 Pro4 2x8 2400 Sometimes when I try to startup my computer or restart it the fans and LEDs turn on, but the screen stays black without even showing the bios screen. The solution is to hold the power button down and turn it on again, hoping that it will work on the next try. The times it works and doesn't is almost random but it happens multiple times a day. Another issue that is less common is when I turn off my PC from windows but everything in the computer still runs with the LEDs and fan. And if I remember correctly the lights on the motherboard DO NOT turn on during the fail boots. |
