HI , sorry I was slow to reply.
The memory was : CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Desktop Memory Model CMK32GX4M2A2666C16R.
Which were not on the compatible list unfortunately.

I replaced them with :Kingston Memory KVR26N19S8/8 ,which were on your list, and it now runs fine

Dear Justme32118,

Thanks for posting to the ASRock forum.

Regarding your question, could you provide the part number of the RAM that is used on the system?

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

I bought a ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4/2.5G board for my i-5 10600k cpu to build my new system. In my haste I forgot to check the memory for compatibility with the mb, and of course the ram I got didn't post ( getting red light for memory on the post status checker) and isn't on ASRock's compatible list on their site.So now that I've been checking the list I'm having a really tough time finding anything that IS on the list.
Is there and easier way to track down compatible memory than flipping back and forth from newegg and amazon and asrock's site checking the ridiculously long module numbers against the list?

I think I've read you can put a faster ram like a 3000 or 3200 and it would run fine at the 2666 the the cpu does. Is that true? If so it would at least increase my odds of finding something.

Any advice to point me in the right direction would be appreciated. I've built my own gaming rigs for years and never had an issue matching up ram to a board before.Seems to be a lot of DDR4 2666 out there ,just none I'm finding that match their list.
