This is an asrock rack motherboard. There is a scary message if you ask for support from asrock rack telling you to get tech support from your dealer or this forum, but you can, indeed, email them and they will get back to you.
For others who may be purchasing this board new, or updating the bmc firmware, be aware that if you have a SAS 9300-8i HBA, you must pull the card and turn off the power to the motherboard before trying to flash the bmc. This may include other LSI, broadcomm or avago technologies cards based on the 3008 chipset or it may be more widespread or only this particular card. This is my first time doing an HBA in IT mode in place of hardware raid. I would encourage you to flash your LSI, broadcomm or avago technologies cards to current firmware levels in different computer as that seemed to kill the firmware in the BMC ... but that may also be just my own voodoo thinking. I didn't try to flash the lsi card again after re-flashing the BMC cause I'd already had enough fun. |
