Forgot to add that you can also check G.Skill ram compatibility with your MB from here: https://gskill.com/configurator?page=1&cls=1529635169&manufacturer=1524725289&chipset=1603955066&model=1603955667
Your ram is not listed as being compatible.

Agree, bench it to rule out if there is a short.

Since your CPU default TDP is 105W and may need more power did you attach the 1 x 8 pin 12V power cable and also the 1 x 4 pin 12V power cable from your PSU to the MB. I have read on other forums that some MBs will not post without the 4 pin power cable connected.

It's either Asrock's B550 MBs or AMD Ryzen 5 3000 series CPUs that does not like 3600Mhz ram. From your CPU's spec sheet: System Memory Specification
Up to 3200MHz https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-7-3800xt
Your G.Skill 3600Mhz ram is also not on your MB's approved list.
https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B550%20Extreme4/index.asp#MemoryMS

If you can get into your bios try setting your ram to 3200Mhz or ditch the G.Skill 3600Mhz ram and get some 3200Mhz ram that's on the Asrock approved list.

In situations like this always pull the board from the case and bench run it.
Any time the system will not power on the first step should be to rule out a short

Hey Guys,

Its one of those nights, been looking forward to my build all week but it wasnt to be tonight

Config:

Asrock B550 Extreme4
Ryzen 7 3800XT
Fraction Design ION+ 860W
32GB (2x16GB) GSKILL Tridentz 3600 C16
Fractal Design Prisma S36+ Cooler

Issue:
Standby power comes on, RGB on the board lights up, but when I hit power from the case or even the smart buttons on the board I get a short click and flicker on things that should be powered like fans but they dont even rotate. Nothing seems to be getting power despite get the power on command. I have cleared CMOS, checked/removed all connections several times, gone down to one memory slot. Even tried my old PSU but still no power to anything. There is never any debug code. Its driving me nuts and I dont want to believe I have to RMA the board, maybe someone pull out a miracle that I am too tired to see.

Much appreciation.
