You will have to send a support ticket on this one:
https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp This is a community forum so you likely won't get much help with BIOS customization etc here. ASRock Tech Support does post here, fairly regularly in fact, but they don't read every post and thread. Good luck and let us know if they are able to help you out. |

I should note I am running an Asrock X99M Extreme4 mobo with a special version of BIOS from Asrock Tech Support that gave me Higher Level Permissions to set the ATA Password and have true, Full Hardware Disk Encryption on an SSD and now M.2 drive.

So I recently upgraded from a Samsung 850 Pro SSD running Win7 and I had a special BIOS from Asrock Tech Support that allowed me to set the ATA Password enabled with 32 characters for Full Disk Encryption along with the strongest PassPhrase possible.
Well I just upgraded to the Samsung 970 M.2 drive, which also has Full Disk Encryption, but it seems to only allow me to set an 8 character Admin Password? As we know, we really need these ATA PassPhrases as long as possible. How to I force or enable the Admin/ATA Password to be 32 characters? |
