Hi,
I had major LAN issues with on board ethernet on this board. Transfers to / from the LAN were occurring at a slow speed of 12-25 kBps. Internet speeds were fine. I checked from another computer with a 10Mbps ethernet card and transfers were normal at 12Mbps. So the problem was not the file server, it was the asrock computer. After trying a PCI network card for diags - which worked OK - I decided to do a little research before ordering a new gigabyte PCI card. I landed on https://support.killernetworking.com/knowledge-base/optimizing-e2200-e2400-e2500-advanced-driver-settings/ which enumerates the recommended settings for the on board ethernet. Mostly all of them were wrong on my newly installed Asrock board (I got it 3 days ago). After settings each one as recommended, LAN transfers were finally optimal at 112MBps. Removed Killer manager and filters after playing with them for a while. Useless. I have a internet fiber 50/50 MBps link. Hope this will help s/o else in my situation, hence this posting. I've searched a lot before finding the killernetworking link. ____ FM2A88X+ Infinity Killer BIOS P2.90 AMD A10-7850K Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller CT500MX5 00SSD1 SATA Disk Device (SSD) HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H55L IDE CdRom Device (with IDE to SATA adaptor) Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate |
