Hi
Update to my problem: I did update as per AMD website. Thought my problem was solved. It is not actually, but was masked by MSI Afterburner. I have found today after plugging in my PC, no fans again. Going into the AMD software (tuner part) did not make the fans spin when disabling zero fan speed and hitting the apply button. After starting MSI afterburner, the fans immediately started spinning. So, no fix currently exists by AMD. This fan issue is widespread and common, but not taken seriously. Unbelievable!! |

Dear Brian,
Thank you for choosing ASRock and contacting us. Regarding your case, please download and install the latest AMD graphics driver from AMD official website. https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-5600-series/amd-radeon-rx-5600-series/amd-radeon-rx-5600-xt The RX5600 XT Phantom Gaming D3/D2 supports 0dB Silent Cooling function and will start the fan when the GPU temperature reaches 55 degrees. Please help to check the GPU temperature by Radeon software. Thank you! Yours truly, ASRock TSD |

Wow .. no responses or support from ASrock!
Made some progress ... when looking for latest adrenalin software, came to Asrock site and downloaded from the links provided from the products page. They appear to be outdated. The adrenalin package from AMD directly, allowed my fan adjustment to be saved and fans now do come on after a restart. |

Sorry .. forgot to mention : Mobo is Asrock B450 itx/ac. Clearly gpu is Asrock gaming 5600. CPU is Ryzen 5 3600. I have mostly Asrock hardware ... previous PC is also ASrock B250 with Intel (no issues with that one)

New PC .. while doing a windows install, the GPU ran extremely hot (burn your finger if you touch heatsink) Fan were not coming on. Had to use an external fan to keep card temp down. After install, fans still not coming on.
Download the AMD Radeo software from support/downloads/ Downloaded latest vbios and flashed card. No change. If I use the Radeon Software tool to set fans to disable zero RPM, fans do come and temperatures drop nicely ... confirming fans do operate and not faulty. When PC shut down and restarted, the "disabled zero RPM" is once again disabled and fans do not come on. (Settings are not saved?) I see this is a common problem, but only saw one fix relating to setting bios setting regards PCIE to 3 and not 4. That did not work for me. Please, I need a proper fix. Thank You |
