its the ram !
ok more in depth reply its the ram not being set in bios to stable timings ......... the cause ? the bios cant make stable 'guess' as to the sub timings of this ram to maintain stability with the cpus memory controller solutions ....... buy better ram (usually safe now with popular brands ) or manually alter the subtings for the ram using the ryzen dram calculator availble as a free program or manually set ram to 2933 cl16 with 1.35 volts that should get it stable |

Hi all. I just built this new pc. The ram at default runs at 2667mhz. When using the XMP at 3200mhz, only games crash and nothing else. The games I tested were Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, Escape From Tarkov, and Red Dead Redemption 2
Ryzen 5 2600x Asus B450 Steel Legend OLOy 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER SC ULTRA GAMING I tried setting it manually (probably did not do it right) and updating the bios. Thanks for the help. |
