Hi there,
I recently bought a WD Black AN1500 PCI-e 3.0 NVMe SSD (2TB), to install on my P67 Extreme4 Gen3 motherboard. The board has 2 PCI-e 3.0 x16 slots (PCI2 and PCI4 from the manual). I moved my graphic card to PCI2, as recommended in the manual, and put the SSD in PCI4. All things light up, so power is provided. In the BIOS (2.20 most recent for this mobo) however, I can't find my SSD. It shows only SATA slots, with my Samsung HD, my old M4 ssd, and DVD. In Windows 7(64bits) it is also not listing. The device manager finds unknown PCI device. When using a Windows10 bootUSB, the installer does show the drive, but can't install there due to wrong file format. Which I can't change because I can't find the SSD in windows. I've tried changing slots, which doesn't help. I've tried setting the BIOS SATA to ACHI instead of IDE, which doesn't work (still not listed in the BIOS). Can someone please help? |
