Don't look at the Memory QVL on the ASRock site. That list is now outdated and created before the MB even landed on retail shelves. That's why I linked you to Kingstons site for list of memory they, Kingston, certifies as usable on your board. And too, that the HX316C9SRK2/16 is not listed at the Kingston site for your board and should be considered being NOT compatible.

Almost none of the new RAM are listed on the compatibility list. Only the outdated and out of stock are listed

And from experience here with years and years of AMD experiences, the 970 Performance you have, you would do better much better going with a 990FX board while using your 8320.
As the shop implied, and I will say, it is at the edge of your using the 8320 on. If you plan to overclock I will strongly suggest you get a 990FX board as the 970 Pro will have very little left with which to overclock the 8320 with. Stock you should be fine. But OC'ing ..... um .... Don't even attempt on the 8320/970 Pro combo. You'll only be asking for hurt. Edited by wardog - 29 Jan 2016 at 6:03am |

It's what I thought was happening there, I'm 99.9% sure.
This memory, Kingston HX316C9SRK2/16, is not shown as compatible with your motherboard. For Kingston Certified Memory for your board refer to the below list: http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search?DeviceType=7&Mfr=ASR&Line=Motherboard&Model=91406 |

Hello, i had some problems with my system. Sometimes, at the power on,
three long beeps sound from the motherboard speaker, and the system is
unable to boot. Some other times, I am facing blue screens, which are
caused due to RAM malfunction. So I've done some memtest to ensure that
my RAM's was fine. The RAM was fine. After some tests I realized that
the problem is caused when the RAM uses dual channel mode. With one dimm
installed at the time there was no problem, but with both dimms
installed I was facing blue screens and startup errors. Also, I tried to
put the DIMM's side by side, in other words at the A1,A2 slot's. So the
memories was using single channel mode. During the tests no error
appeared. So I concluded that the problem appears when the dimms are on
dual channel mode. Also I have tried another pair of dimms without
success. So I decided to RMA the whole system to the shop, from which I
bought the parts. After a couple days the called me back and they told
me that my CPU is incompatible with my Motherboard, because it is over
95W. They tried an 95W CPU and it worked fine. I explained them that the
CPU is fully compatible as this Motherboard supports up to 220W CPU's
and also my CPU is in the CPU support list. They agree to that fact, but
they say that, this is what Asrock says, we don't agree to that fact.
They told me that this motherboard is compatible with only 95W CPU and
the prompted me to buy a new one. I told them, that I want to replace
the motherboard because it is faulty, but the Sayed that they can't do
to do that, because it's not faulty. It is incompatible. It would be
faulty if it doesn't even worked properly with 95W CPU's. They don't
want to replace my faulty motherboard and I don?t know why. I didn't
knew what else to do so I decided to post this thread. ((Moderator wardog's Note: I removed the name of the shop. It is not important at this point. Nor ever.))
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English Edited by wardog - 29 Jan 2016 at 5:29am |
