Since I was running out of space on my rig I decided to get a 1TB 970 Evo M2 drive to go with the rest of my system. I just finished putting it back and whatever I do, the drive wont show in Windows under drives. The only way I can "see" the drive in windows is when I open HW monitor (it sees its temp sensor), or when I go to the device manager(it even says the device is working properly).
Also when I open the bios the drive does show under Advanced>>NVMe configuration. Also when I go to the boot options in the bios, I can see the drive and I can select it in the HD BBS priorities etc. Ive tried some stuff I found (enable CSM, set launch storage oprom to UEFI only and Ive made sure my other HD's arent connected to the sata3_1 and sata3_0 since they apparently share the M2 slot), yet to no avail. Anything else I can try to do and fix this issue? Im running the following hardware: Asrock Z170 Pro4, Intel i6600K, 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix, RTX 3060, 250GB 850 Evo sata HD with W10, 1TB 970 Evo M2 and another old ass sata drive. |
