I would update your BIOS to 1.80 first as it contains an ME and Microcode update. The microcode update included in 1.80 should include proper support for your i5-6500. If you are still experiencing BSODs then you can try upgrade to the latest 1.90 version. The 1.80 update may require a second phase of flashing so do not remove the flash drive or power off the PC after the initial flash. Keep the flash drive in the PC, hit enter when prompted and only remove the flash drive/shut down after you have booted into the OS and restarted at least once.

Great. You're not using one of the Previews then. They are sometimes problematic. RAM. I have a ?? I just asked another Mod here on concerning you updating it. Just hold pat on 1.30 for now. Edited by wardog - 29 Jan 2016 at 11:17am |

This is the only thing resembling a part number I have: cmk8gx4m2a2666c16r
I don't know what an insider preview is, I bought the OS but there was a problem with the product key and Microsoft Support did an in-place upgrade to a retail version of Win_10.

What actual p/n are these Corsair? Windows 10. Is this the/a Insider Preview or other NON-Retail release? |

BSOD are not usually attributed to BIOS issues.
So that we can help, please list all the components inside, and also connected outside(eSATA, USB etc) by model numbers that make up your system when this is happening. Include the PSU and its age and lastly the BIOS revision the motherboard is currently flashed to and running with.. Knowing these will help us help you. |

I am currently running p1.30 Bios on my H170M Pro4 motherboard and keep getting blue screened during gameplay. Do I need to update my Bios to a current version and if so then which one do I choose from the 3 choices?
