Is those supported on the X99 WS?

I was looking at the X99 Extreme 11 first, until just about everyone said the 37mm fan on the chipset is loud. Given I have taken great care to get my system below 25dB, so I'm not interesting in ruin it now. So it there a way to silence that fan, while still keeping it cool?
The extra storage is really tempting.

To be honest, X99 WS-E/10G is also tempting, since it will make a file server quicker, but same loud fan on the chipset.

And if the fan can be silenced, does the same m.2 and memory work on WS-E/10G and Extreme 11?
