Yes, it should allow an M.2 PCIE (NVME) on a PCIE card, to be able to boot from.
However in BIOS, you must disable CSM (install the OS in GPT/UEFI mode), and depending on the OS, it can be, you need drivers, from the M.2 manufacturer |

I have this motherboard and updated with the latest BIOS (2.40).
It says it's added NVMe Support. Does that mean i can put M.2 PCIe expansion card, stick NVMe stick on it, then boot from it ? |
