Ah... I've made a mistake. I got my x5800 up and running now!

I made a bootable usb disk using 'diskpart'.
With'secure boot' disabled I booted into the efi shell. But it's getting a bit messy. I got this message: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kv1p84udruuqcgs/efi_update.jpg?dl=0 I'm not able to get into the usb disk. |

You need to type:
Make sure your flash drive is formatted as EFI bootable. You can use this guide if you have issues: https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Creating_Windows_UEFI_Boot-Stick_in_Windows Fs0: means File System 0 and refers to the root directory of the USB drive. |

I placed the EFI folder and X570_Steel_Legend folder into usb stick,
but after system boot the stick is not visible in the bootmenu. Via bios settings I can set the bootorder for usb stick on top. After reboot I have a Shell, but after entering fs0 I get 'fs0 is not recognized as an internal or external command' |

Okay thanks for the info. I presume the usb disk has to be FAT formatted?

Make sure you use the guide, if you updated previously without doing so then that
is probably the issue. There was some quirk when adding support for the 5000 series that caused problems which is why ASRock created that guide to sort it out. It only happens when updating for Ryzen 5000 support with a 2000 series or older CPU. |

As stated bios v.3.90
I've also tried v.3.80 to no avail but I will try v.3.00 |
