Is there a unique "Serial Number" visible

   Thanks Parsec, after seeing your post I took a look at my B85 Anniversary and my serial number is in a similar location too. 
It definitely looks like they sent the same PC back to you. Sadly it is all too common for IT companies to assume the end user won't notice. It would have been far better had they informed you that they had rigorously tested the board and examined it for damage before sending it back to you. They are the ones taking a risk by sending you a potentially damaged board as they are liable to replace it under warranty so if they are sure it is functioning correctly then that is on them. 

Good luck sorting it out. I would look for another supplier for your next purchase and bring the matter up with whatever authority decides such things within your educational institution. I am guessing the institution has some kind of contract with this supplier. To risk a contract with a client over a sub $100 part is just plain silly.

	The number on the sticker on the LAN port, 5AM0XE301540, is the board's serial number. A sticker on a similar ASRock board (Z87 - eight series chipsets) that I have with the original box, matches the serial number on the board's box. This sticker is in the same general location on my board, on top of one of the IO panel components. The format of my board's serial number is the similar to yours, 35M0XD012345, except I changed the last six digits for this example. It seems they did not give you a new mother board, since that number did not change. If the PC used the stock Intel CPU cooler, they can become loose easily during shipping. The mounting holes for the CPU cooler were most likely not damaged. I think all they did was fix the CPU cooler mounting, and sent the same PC back to you.

	Yes there are Bar Codes above all 3 Numbercodes. As I am buying for a educational institution I´m bound to certain Laws and restrictions. And "buying somewhere else" is not a valid option at this moment. The first thing I really need to know if this is the same mainboard, because the Numbers are the same, as my possible legal actions depend on this.

	The serial number should have a bar code above it. If the store sent you the same part then any liability falls on them if something should go wrong (it should still be covered by Warranty). I would imagine if they sent you the same board they would have at the very least tested it to be sure there was no damage. So long as it is covered under warranty I wouldn't worry about it. If it is not under any kind of warranty then return it and buy something from elsewhere.

	Hello there, long story short: bought a PC with an H81M-HDS 2.0 my seller did not install the CPU-Cooler correctly and it broke loose during the shipping. I told them that I would not pay the bill for a possibly damaged Mainboard/CPU and returned the package. They sent me a supposedly new PC, but the "Numbers on the Mainboard are the same" I photographed 3 stickers prior to returning the original package 1. on the LAN Port "5AM0XE301540" 2. next to the blue USB3 connector "D06099927BA4" 3. At the top edge ""05AR170-00595 80-MXgX80-A1A02 Y/N" Are those Numbers unique and should be different on every Mainboard Or is it possible that I indeed got a new Mainboard? Sry for my propably bad English.
