I think it would be best to test with the case open, and a fan pointing inside the case, to see if heat builds up inside the chassis.
Sometimes creating airflow over the PCIE slots, will reduce the heat substantially If the problem, remains, contact the dealer, and return the card Also important is, that, when using stresstests, the card does get these high hotspot temperatures, but it is not normal every day use, so also test it with some high end games, to see if they bottleneck. I know that the some of the XTX Reference models, have this issue, but not the ASRock Phantom Gaming sereis, they use an ASRock design, also used on previous cards. |

Hello,
I have an Asrock Phantom Gaming 7900XTX. At 100% load I have a delta of about 35 Kelvin. 72 degree edge and 107 degree hotspot. This GPU has a large custom cooler. Does anyone have similar problems? |
