Thanks a lot. Everything worked out. Gradually updated, reset CMOS. Everything is working. The memory is now running at 3400Mhz.

It should be fine, just follow the update path. If there are bridge BIOS versions
between your current version and 7.40 you will need to update to those first. Be sure to clear CMOS and allow a full boot into the OS before each update to avoid flashing issues. Typically I download all the BIOS versions from the version I am on to the one I plan to update to and extract them all onto a flash drive. That way if there are any versions in between that need to be flashed first the Flash utility will have what it needs. Just update to the newest version it allows on each update until you hit 7.40. If you see the flash utility lists 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04 then you can jump right to 1.04. It will only show compatible updates to your current version. |

I have an AB350M Pro4 (mATX) motherboard and a Razen R7 2700 processor. I recently bought an RTX 4090 graphics card. For it to work correctly, I need to update the BIOS to 7.40. But I doubt whether my processor will work on this BIOS 7.40 version?
