ASRock kindly sent me a beta BIOS to try. Unfortunately it does not work. Today I'll try to mount my spare MB, a Z690 Velocit?.

Did you open a support ticket with ASRock?
http://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp Computex is going on right now so responses may be a bit slow but they should be able to answer your question about BIOS updates. |

OK, since ASRock technical support is not responding, I searched the WEB a lot and found a solution (at least for me), not sure whether temporary or permanent.
I set "maximum performance" in the setting on the power supply in the nVidia control panel. Many users are having compatibility problems with their motherboards, especially the Z690s. I really hope ASRock will update the bios of the Taichi Z690, the last version of which is dated February 2023. |

I'm actually using the ASRock Z690 Taichi (bios v15.01), 32GB of DDR5 Corsair 6200 memory, updated Windows 11, i9-13900F CPU and a new PNY RTX 4080 GPU with updated nVidia drivers.
I'm having random crashes, never while gaming and benchmarking the GPU, mostly using Firefox, Office and other apps. It seems that disabling G-Sync helps a little but I'm not sure. I've seen that the ASRock Z690 PG Velocit? most recent bios has more compatibility with the RTX 4080/90 series. Will there also be a more updated bios for the Z690 Taichi with more compatibility with the RTX 40XX series? Thanks for any help. |
