I would open a support ticket with ASRock:
http://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp If you have done all the things you listed I can't think of anything to suggest outside of trying a different CPU to rule out bad/marginal PCIe lanes (on the CPU). I think that is unlikely to be the case though. |

If anyone is around, I do have a little update and I'm super confused. Hopefully anyone can give me advice. This is really aggravating haha.
1. I downgraded to 8.02, it worked on my iGPU (no GPU yet) 2. Updated to v13 and it still worked (still on iGPU 3. Plugged in GPU, I get the 5 beeps -> this made me think it must be my GPU 4. Plugged in rtx 3060 (not the TI so 8 pin connector one) and it worked fine 5. I tested my AMD GPU on another PC and it worked (for this one, I used my "broken" PC PSU to power it up to make sure the problem wasn't the cable / power) 6. I downgraded again to 8.02 to try and it worked on iGPU. 7. Plugged in 3060, it worked again. 8. Plugged in 6700xt and that didn't work So I eliminated: 1. PCIe since it works for the 3060 (unless I missed something 2. The PSU cables 3. The GPU isn't faulty since it works on another PC So if anyone here has ideas, please let me know. Although, I guess my best bet is to reach out to asrock  |

Another update: I flashed 8.02 and PC started working. Flashed 13.01 ( or whatever the latest version is) and it worked. I was using the iGPU. Fixed some of my BIOS setting, restarted the PC, it worked. I plugged my PCIe wire back in + my second ram stick in there and PC is giving 5 beeps again. This is driving me nuts

I wish I could edit my own post...
I have a AMD 6700XT and it worked fine (that was never the problem). I didn't touch the CPU or GPU but apparently looking around 5 short beeps means there's no graphic card detected. I'm so confused, any ideas? |

Little addon: I just used my mobo speaker and it gave me 5 short beeps in a row before it goes to that "empty state"

Hey folks,
I've had this motherboard for more than a year no problem now. I was having trouble with my display and games a few days ago and the monitor manufacturer suggested I update my BIOS to see if it would help. I went ahead and did that through the "Instant flash" setting in the BIOS. Only thing is I kinda screwed up since I didn't rename the file to "creative.rom". I tried again through the flashback this time and I accidentally pressed the power button as it was flashing (at this point, I still hadn't realized I had to rename the file so it still was named something like "H670m-itx-13.0.rom". PC started and went in the same type of loop that is happening now. I tried renaming the rom on my USB and flashing worked (flashing green-orange until it turned solid green). This is what happens when I boot up my pc: 1. Light turns on on the ram / AIO screen/ Fans 2. Clear power up noise 3. It kinda "stalls" and fans just start spinning at a constant RPM and the lights stay on but nothing else happens. It just sounds "empty" (I'm unsure how else to explain it). I tried flashing an older version of the BIOS with no success. I also tried using the iGPU when starting the PC but that didn't work either. I tried resetting the CMOS but since I have no jumper I used a flathead screw driver (the flat part). I removed one stick of ram, everything that was plugged in. Just kept my ram + AIO + fans. I really think I screwed up. I'm just being stupidly hopeful I guess since the light is still solid green on my mobo. Here's my system specs: CPU: i5-12600k Mobo: H670m-ITX/ATX Ram: 2x16gb 3200 corsair vengeance Cooler: Corsair iCUE elite I'd be happy to give more info if I missed anything, thanks! |
