Fatal1ty Z270 and HDMI 1.4 frame packing (3D)

   I want to view 3D Blu rays on ny HTPC a Fatal1ty z270 mini-itx coupled with a i3 7300 with HD630 iGPU. 

From what I understand the HD630 should be able to correctly display 3D on a HDMI 1.4 1080p 24hz display such as my JVC x5500 projector. But I can't get it to work. 

I believe it's my motherboard that is the culprit. Not the iGPU

I know the projector and AVR are capable of HDMI 1.4 3D because I have gotten it to work with a laptop with AMD iGPU. 

I use power dvd 19, with the AMD it can switch the mode into 3D and correctly display 3D bluray on projector. 

No such luck with my z270/HD630 combo. 

There is a 3D mode checkbox under display settings. If i leave this off I get a warning in power dvd that it can't detect 3D mode. If I tick the checkbox I do not get a warning but power dvd fails to switch the projector into frame packing mode. On the AMD I can leave the checkbox unticked and power dvd automatically detects frame packing 3D and successfully switches my projector into this mode. 

So what can be done to get my z270 system to work the same way?
