Ok, I will contact StarTech and Intel.
No, I haven't. The ASRock X-Fast USB doesn't work with Intel Socket 1151. :) |

Still nothing... I removed PEXHDCAP60L card from my PC and removed all instances of its driver (including the hidden ones), then rebooted and installed again. Still, it can not be properly started and it shows the same error messages as previously.
No, my Win10 wasn't upgraded from the older Windows version. I installed it from the latest ISO image right after assembling the PC, then installed this capture card. Oh, I forgot: my Extreme6 motherboard is ASR001 ver. 1.04. I suspect that can be an undetected bug in the Intel driver itself. As I mentioned, an another user with Dell XPS8700 PC with Z170 chipset had encountered exactly the same problem with this capture card. I have tested it with my friend's MSI Z170A GAMING M7 mobo with the same Intel Series 100 chipset and it worked great. PEXHDCAP60L is fully operational. |

And when finished with the above and rebooted, then followed the manufacturers proper installation steps, grab the latest driver, 1.1.0.167 |

Bear with me, as I've never installed a capture card .........
""... could not be migrated."" and ""Present: false"" To both of the above. Was the OS upgraded and this occurred? With none of these capture cards installed, meaning uninstall the one one(s) there currently, then reboot: 1. Device Manager > View tab then select Show hidden devices 2. Search for all instance that refer to this card, and any sub-instances it might have created in Device Manager, and delete them and the associated software if/when offered |

I'm sorry for the really looong delay.
I'm using Windows 10 Pro (version 1607 build 14393.576) with StarTech PEXHDCAP60L driver 1.1.0.167 (15.08.2016). No, my goal is not to have all five of these card working at the same time. I just tested all of them to see which one does not work either. Each card was tested in all PCIe x1 slots as a single one and with all other possible configurations (with and without gfx card too). Yes, I cleared CMOS settings also and it made no difference. It's important for me to activate especially a PEXHDCAP60L capture card... Here is the part of the listing from System information: http://voy.pigwa.net/other/list.txt I found a two strange events in the Device manager. It says that two PEXHDCAP60L sub-devices couldn't be migrated and that both of them had a strange Last Device Instance ID - as an USB device (?):
It seems that it's someway connected with the drivers for MediaTek USB drivers which I use with my Ulefone Future phone. But how? I found also that there is a problem with Intel(R) 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family PCI Root Port #20 - A16A driver version 10.1.1.38 and with all previous versions. The PEXHDCAP60L uses a connection with this Z170 chipset's device. Maybe this is the main reason why my capture card doesn't work...

One important bit of missing information is what version of Windows you are using. If you are directing your post at ASRock technical support, the official way to do that is via this form: http://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp I'm not 100% sure about this, but is your goal to have all five of these cards working at the same time? About the two cards that you say are not detected: Does that mean when none of your other cards are connected to the PC? Or some other configuration? When you have tried these various cards in the board, connecting and disconnecting, have you cleared the CMOS/BIOS every time you change the card configurations? If not, you are taking a chance that not doing so will not make a difference. I would not take that chance. Back to possibly using all five cards at once, or even a subset of the five: You forgot to include one card in the mix... your video card. There are 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes supplied by the CPU on Skylake systems. With the video card in the first PCIe x16 slot, any additional cards used in the PCIe x16 slots will have the video card running at x8, with 8 PCIe 3.0 lanes left. The Z170 chipset can provide PCIe 3.0 lanes. The x1 slots should be provided by the Z170 chipset. If there is a limitation about the number of x1 lanes in use at one time, the manual does not say. With one or more of these cards in the board, from Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, and then System Information. Expand the Hardware Resources tree. Go through each entry, paying particular attention to Conflicts/Sharing and IRQs. IRQs may be problematic to diagnose, since two or more cards may attempt to use the same IRQ. Do the same for Components. We need the OS version to validate compatibility with the cards. |
