Ok, thats pretty clear then, thanks.
Shame as I bet these systems are the ones it'd make the most difference to as well. |

Short answer first, and then explanation. The J3160-NUC does not support Smart Response Technology, sorry to say. None of them do. The problem is vaguely related to a mother board requirement, in this case whether or not the processor's support chipset supports Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST). The Intel J3160 is a System On a Chip (SOC) device, combining the CPU and chipset in one package. The J3160 does not support IRST, so the driver and utility program would not even install on that system. Scroll down on the J3160 specifications page to find the IRST support information: http://ark.intel.com/products/91533/Intel-Celeron-Processor-J3160-2M-Cache-up-to-2_24-GHz |

Hi, the J-3160 nuc has both SATA and mSATA connectors so was wondering if it supports Intel's Smart Response Technology where the mSATA is used automatically as a fast-cache drive?
As far as I'm aware it just requires the right drivers but there's also some mobo requirements perhaps? Cheers |
