It says KTH-PL421/32G is REGISTERED DIMM pair:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017WDZ0TS Ryzen CPUs DO NOT support registered nor buffered DIMMs. Only UNBUFFERED DIMMs will work. You can buy unbuffered ECC DIMMs easily these days, straight from crucial.com -> Shop RAM -> Server Memory and then picking ECC UDIMM or VLP ECC UDIMM in the Module Type. Don't buy DDR5 for Ryzen 3600X, though (laugh). Kingston Server Premier also has EUDIMM models. |

I curently got a B450 pro4 and I am running a r5 3600x.
The mobo boots normally when I use a normal ddr4 memory, but when I swap it for ECC ones, it gets into a boot loop. https://www.reddit.com/r/pchelp/comments/1ccxz7a/comment/l19gke9/?context=3 I am using the recent p10.08 bios, and I notice that I cant find the common ras settings to set up ECC memory. Was that removed or alocated to somewhere else? In the mobo specs it days the r5 3600x should accept unbound ecc. And I assume the kth-pl421/32g is unbound ecc memory, right? |
