Check this out: http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3622&title=extreme6-z170-ripjaws-v-3000-compatibility

I had that issue but the memory worked even though it is not on the officially supported list either

Click on the below link, then click on the white bar in the middle right titled "Find the right memory" for Kingston compatibility.

Greetings everyone,

I'm about to order one HyperX Fury 16GB (2x8) 2400 CL15-15-15 kit and wanted to make sure it's 100% compatible with the motherboard.
After checking the Memory Support List, I realised that only the Dual-rank module (HX424C15FBK2/16) is mentioned.
The store however, offers its single-rank counterpart (HX424C15FB2K2/16) cheaper. The question is, will it work?
I know they're essentially the same, but I'd feel much safer if someone could confirm (ideally, has personally tested the said modules).

Compatibility aside, what do you gain/lose by using Single-rank RAM?
