Hey Sean,
I'll toss this out but if you move on it before posting a reply know that the 7.xx BIOSes are for and address the upcoming Kaby Lake release. DO NO flash to any 7.xx BIOS on/for either board you have. No Kaby Lake, No 7.xx BIOS And should you, ONLY use the Instant Flash method. Other that a power outage while flashing I've never heard of a bad flash using Instant Flash. OK, Having forewarned of that, what are the BIOSes currently flashed to? |

Hi guys
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TL;DR (Note this error started occurring after I was changing RAM from one slot to another. Up until then my PC had been running fine) My Fatal1ty K4 and Fatal1ty K6 are not initializing my GPU (error 99) and thus my monitor will not display anything. The PC powers on, the GPU fan will spin with all the other fans for a bit and then it will stop spinning. Note that if I have no GPU installed and plug my HDMI cable into the onboard graphics then it loads okay and the monitor displays correctly. I absolutely appreciate any advice any of you may offer. Thankyou Sean ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Extended information) Specs: - 900W PSU - i5 6600k - GTX 1060 - Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4 (old) - Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6 (new) - 2 x 4gb Ripjaws V DDR4 2133 mhz (old) - 1 x 8gb Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 mhz (new) Testing Performed: - Tested the monitor on another PC (works) - Tested the HDMI cable on another PC (works) - Tested my GPU in another PC (works) - Tested my GPU in different PCIE slots (still doesn't work) - Connected my PSU to a different power cable from my PSU (still doesn't work) - Tested using the HDMI cable in the GPU slot and the onboard GPU slot (still doesn't work if GPU is installed) - Tested my old 2 x 4GB RAM and my 1 x 8 GB RAM in different slots and in correct orientation (Same error, cannot confirm that all RAM kits are faulty albeit that is very unlikely) - Purchased a new mobo as I assumed that was the problem (still doesn't work) Pictures of setup: http://imgur.com/D3KKC3L http://imgur.com/8brz11i http://imgur.com/kHCiWBg |
