Most memory manufacturers websites have a Memory Configurator or Memory Finder available.
Their sites get updated regularly whereas the ASRock QVL mostly represents what they themselves had available pre-release of the board going to market. A starting point if you will. Edited by wardog - 14 Dec 2016 at 2:02am |

The official compatibility list for DDR3 (http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/N68C-GS4%20FX/?cat=Memory) is quite limited when it comes to having 8gb of RAM. In fact, there are only two approved 4gb sticks and they are both DDR3 1066 (not sure if they can even still be bought).
Does anyone have experience using unapproved RAM in nForce 630a motherboards? The sheet shows that it accepts both single and double sided RAM, so that shouldn't be an issue (as long as they're paired). Thank you! |
