Check my reply to the PM you sent me.

IMO you should be looking at purchasing a new PSU that has a native 8-pin ATX12V1 connector.

That you now have a PSU that only has the 4-pin ATX12V1 connector says it's either a very inexpensive yet new psu, or it's and older model.

8in ATX12V 4 Pin P4 CPU Power Extension Cable added as case has bottom psu so needed extension , this 3rd extension as keep burning out wires where the connections join, any known problems that could cause this , or psu too much power out , as the psu board connector  hasnt burned only the extension lead from it , could this be the extension leads though they are rospa 18 awg wire , they are chinese manufactored extension leads , thnks

am using amd fx6300 cpu alpine 700 fan wth 4 pin cpu connector for 12 volt power to cpu

980de3us3 seems a good mb if slightly older then the newer ryzen am4 releases , but on a budget i think its really good and 8core fx compatibillity , ok it wont take the am3+ 9 series but sub £60 its a great bargain , im an asrock fan for 10+ years starting with the 939sata2 board in 2004 -05  , hope the 980de3us3 board works well with the fx 6300 cpu still waiting to fit ...
