Thank you very much. I was able to see that the BIOS version is 1.00, so the problem is found. I'll see if I can find a supported CPU myself or bring it to the seller. It is also good to know about the backup option with the BIOS chip. Thank you again for the great help.

1. Yes, no BIOS support = no post.

2. There should be a little white sticker on the BIOS ROM that has the version printed on it.

3. You only have 2 options to update your BIOS if the CPU is not supported:
a. Borrow/buy a compatible CPU to update with.
b. Purchase a new BIOS chip from ASRock preflashed with the correct BIOS version.

Hello,
I have a B150M Pro4V motherboard and a i5-7400 CPU. The computer spins the CPU and any other fan connected but gives no video signal and no beeping. I tried with and without RAM (Kingston HyperX 2x4GB 2133 MHz), with and without GPU, with and without audio and USB cables connected to the MB. The result is always no beeping and no video signal. I suspect that the problem is that the Bios is an old one and does not support the CPU. I have the following questions:
- Is the behavior consistent with Bios not recognizing the CPU?
- Is there a way to find out what Bios the MB was produced with based on the serial number?
- Is there a way to update the Bios without getting my hands on a CPU supported by the older Bios?

Thank you for any help. It is late Friday here, so I won't be able to contact the seller until Monday, but any help I get in advance would be appreciated.
