ASRock boards that have UEFI/BIOS updates that might support 4K Native are the Intel Z170 series chipset boards. The new Z270 chipset boards should also have that support. I've also found a few H170 boards with these updates. There are UEFI/BIOS updates that contain Advanced format 4K sector size in the description. For example: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170%20Extreme7+/?cat=Download&os=BIOS Yes I know that does not say 4K Native, and the term being used covers multiple types of 4K support, but that is all I can tell you, sorry to say. I've seen other UEFI/BIOS updates that have Update NTFS module in their description, but again I know that is non-specific. All of these updates I found were released in 2016. The last UEFI/BIOS update for your board is dated 2014. I highly doubt you will find this update in any UEFI version earlier than mid 2016. You can send your question to ASRock technical support from this page: http://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp |

I have an ASRock Z87 Extreme6 ATX LGA1150 motherboard, and i want to know if it supports 4k native (4kn) HDD's, as i am thinking of buying a new 10TB HDD. I have been searching the web for answers to no avail. Does anyone know?
