	Providing a field report (ymmv) on a recent build I just completed with the J3455-ITX board. Despite the indication from AsRock that 2GB modules are incompatible, I elected to attempt assembling a system with a pair of 2x2GB modules from Crucial Technology (part number CT25664BF160BJ.C4FER). These modules are 2GB in size and have four 4Gb density ram chips on each stick. Crucial also guarantees compatibility with this AsRock board via their memory selection / advisor tool thus I figured it was a low risk proposition to try. The modules installed fine with no complaints from the bios or otherwise. I have been running the system for several days now as a mythTV frontend on Xubuntu 16.10 without any problems. The overall system performance increase of this apollo lake system relative to my other baytrail based frontend is quite nice. Intel very recently provided some clarification regarding the selection of Sodimms for their apollo lake NUC systems indicating that memory with 4Gb or greater chip density must be used (see http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-nuc-kits/000023485.html). Given the explanation at that site, this appears to be an issue intrinsic to apollo lake. Just a guess but perhaps AsRock didn't test 2GB modules with 4Gb density chips as they can be a little hard to find. I'll will report back if I do have any issues with stability but so far things look promising.
