Sometimes my J3455-ITX (FW1.2) / Windows 10 becomes unstable too.
It happens when I transfer big amounts of data to my USB3 SSD. In the middle of a file the transfer slows down never finishes. And because I'm using a USB wireless adapter it stops working too. All I can do is restart Windows.

Include any logs, the make and models of both KB and mouse, and also describe it as simple as you can so not to interject anything superfluous that will complicate communications.

Ok, USB issue also occurs under Windows 10 :(
In EventGhost you clearly see Detach directly followed by Attach of ALL USB devices. Apollo Lake / mobo TYPE is only common factor, as all other hardware and software is completely different! So I fear this is BIOS/HW issue. |

I have 2 j3455 boards:
one with Ubuntu 16.10 as NAS (4.8 kernel) one with Libreelec as HTPC (not sure which kernel) I notice something strange: the board running NAS runs very stable, but only when I keep keyboard/mouse (USB) connected. When keyboard/mouse is not connected, everything boots & runs normally, but a hard crash happens after a while (typically within 1 hour). On the libre-elec system I notice something different, but may be in the same line: I get unmount/mount messages from the USB stick I use to boot. Timings seem to be rather random. Anyone familiar with this issue? |
