What version of Windows are you using? Windows 10? Was your wife standing by the monitor to know it was really at the desktop? I have never heard beeps from Windows. Do you have a POST beep speaker installed, and the POST beep option enabled in the UEFI? If not, then the beeps were not from the board. Or were the beep from any type of speakers you have, external or in a monitor? Just example of some of the details that are missing, without which it is impossible to know what happened. For example, Windows 10 and its automatic updates that will restart the PC on its own schedule. Windows will warn you that a restart is coming, but if no one is watching to notice to manually restart, or reschedule the restart, the restart will automatically occur. Windows 10 will do its automatic updates when a PC is sitting idle for long periods of time. Windows 10 update will do driver updates, including video driver updates. Any video driver update normally requires a restart of the PC, but the Windows 10 driver updates don't do that. Without the restart, a change in the desktop like changing the background picture with the video driver in that situation could cause a BSOD. After the restart from a BSOD, that could cause the video card to fail POST initially, and you could hear POST beeps. After POST occurs, which is what the Dr Debug display is for, POST codes, I would not expect anything to be shown on the Dr Debug display. It is inactive once Windows boots, except on the OC Formula boards. But again, no where near enough detail about the situation to come to any type of conclusion about what happened. As said above, if the PC is running normally and you have not had any more events like that, you should be fine. |

If the system is running fine then it should be OK. Keep an ear out for it and get your wife to do the same. I am pretty sure you will find the sound came from windows. If she hears it again with you then I am pretty sure it will confirm my suspicion

Okay so everything has been working great with my computer for about 3 weeks until this afternoon while I was at work my wife told me that computer made 4 beeps from the desktop while running and idle. Should I be concerned about this? I had her check CPU temps which were all normal, and I had her check installed RAM and all looked good, the computer runs overnight most times while idle as I have sleep mode off. Is this normal or should I be worried about Motherbord Failure? Also the computer seems to be working fine as my wife could navigate windows to check the things I listed above. Also, no numbers on Dr Debug.
