I don't know how I overlooked that statement, I guess when I read somewhere that you need old CPU to do update it probably stuck into my head. Edited by darkgo - 27 May 2017 at 6:32pm |

I also would have the BIOS up to date before installing an OS to avoid any issues.

The CPU Support List for the A320M Pro4 states that Ryzen 5 processors will boot with any UEFI/BIOS version, and be able to install Windows. You will not need to update the BIOS at the shop. But you must have at least version 2.10 for all the BIOS options to optimize a Ryzen 5 processor: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A320M%20Pro4/index.asp#CPU Any BIOS version older than 2.10 will require the DOS BIOS update method. |

I order asrock a320m pro4 motherboard which I will match it with ryzen 5 1500x.
I become worried because I realized motherboard may be will not come with necessary bios for ryzen 5 1500x. I want to know if the motherboard will run with unsupported ryzen or I will need to update bios at the shop. And if it will run, will it only go into bios or will be possible to install Windows 10? Also in which case I will need to do DOS bios update (which version of bios is too old to update from bios)?
