I recently built a new rig using a fatality professional z97 Mobo.

My problem is trying to use a logitec headset thru the rear audio jacks makes the mic sound very boxy and the sound gets louder and softer as I talk.

I played around with the prosound studio that came with it but nothing I tried makes it sound any better with it plugged in the rear ports.

I even uninstalled the SB drivers to no avail.  My guess is there is something in the driver or port making it go wonky.

HOWEVER if I plug the headset into the front jacks it seems to work fine.

The output sound sounded good with the pro studio and I would love to use that except I get on vent almost every night.

Anyone know why this is doing this?

Thanks
