well it doesnt matter if the cards is 3.0 and the mobo 2.0 all it comes the compatibility with the card. you have the latest bios up to date? if not try to update.
ps. have you try the card on another system?

I upgraded my card from a 6950 to a 980ti. When I turn my computer I get 5 beeps meaning the hardware isnt working right. The card seems to be powered. I cant diagnose the problem. Since the lights on the card turn on I doubt the powersuppy or the card not getting power is the issue. Could it be the PCI express? The card is 3.0 and MOBO is 2.0 but I thought that wasnt an issue. Here are the specs: XFX PRO750W XXX Edition Semi-Modular 80Plus Silver 750 Watt Power Supply ASRock P67 EXTREME4 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with L3.19 driver (latest driver I could find) MSI GTX 980TI GAMING 6G GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB 384-Bit GDDR |
