it is to provide more power to the CPU, probably beyond 250watt, so no practical benefits
asrock b650m/hdv.m2, ryzen 7700x@85watt

Why are there two of these connectors? What is the benefit to connect to both?

No, you only need to connect 1 of them.

Why does the X670 Steel Legend Mobo have TWO 8pin 12V power connectors? Do I need to use both?
