Dear justfine58, Greetings, this is ASRock TSD. For AB350 Pro4, there are three chassis fan connector, CHA_FAN1, CHA_FAN2 and CHA_FAN3. CHA_FAN2 and CHA_FAN3 could control both 3-pin and 4-pin fan, but CHA_FAN1 could only control 4-pin fan. Regarding your question, please install a 4-pin fan on CHA_FAN1 to customize the fan setting. If connecting 3-pin fan, it will work at full speed. Here is the specification for your reference as below. Besides, please also refer to the following link for the fan type specification and information. Thanks! All the best, ASRock TSD |

I want to connect the rear chassis fan to CHA_FAN1 and run it in DC mode.
I made the changes in the UEFI under HW Monitor but the fan doesn't react, instead it runs at nearly 100% all the time. I tried all settings including Custom. The two front fans are connected to CHA_FAN2-3 and they respond to similar changes as they should. I've also tested with another fan to confirm that it's the header that's causing the problem. I'm starting to think that the motherboard is faulty. Can you help? Edited by justfine58 - 08 Aug 2017 at 3:19pm |
