jbranco, you are welcome. After a BIOS update Load UEFI Defaults should always be done. Enjoy, John.

The 3.00 UEFI for the X370 Taichi has been in use for over a month, and we've never had a post about this issue. What model of chassis fans are you using that no longer work correctly? There are three chassis fan headers on your board, two will auto detect three or four pin fans and adjust accordingly, the Chassis Fan3 header must be set manually for PWM or three pin (DC) mode. Have you checked that those fans are still fully connected to the Chassis fan headers on the board? You can try your chassis fans on the CPU_OPT fan header, which must be changed manually for four pin PWM or three pin DC control. If you verify that the fans still work, and that the two Chassis fan headers you are using are now broken, you should return or RMA the board. |

jbranco, open your BIOS and hit F9 to Load UEFI Defaults. Please let us know if this helps. Enjoy, John.

Hi,
I recently bought (8 hours ago) a Asrock X370 Taichi to pair with my Ryzen 1700.I have 2 chassis fan (brand new) which were pulling hot air out of the case. They were working fine until I upgraded my bios to the latest (3.0). I checked on HWMonitor and it doesn't display any RPM for the chassis fan, nor in the BIOS. Even setting threshold lower for the chassis fans it still doesn't trigger them. Lastly, I also tried Asrock Tuning Application and run a Fan Test on the chassis fans but they didn't move at all. I am not entirely sure what is happening.. any guidance would be extremely appreciated!
