Solved.
I disconnected all drives except the SSD then I was able to set the SSD as the boot drive in the boot priority menu. After reconnecting all the hard drives the system now boots properly. |

I have an ASROCK Z77 Extreme mother board running bios P2.80
I'm running the Truenas (FreeBSD) operating system. I recently had a boot drive failure and I had to replace the SSD boot drive. Both the original boot drive and the replacement are Kingtston SSDNOW 200 64GB drive. After replacing the drive and installing the OS the drive does not show up in the boot priority menu. It does show up in F11 boot override screen and it boots fine. This was not an issue with the previous (identical) drive. This version of the UEFI bios does *NOT* have a CSM mode option on the boot tab. I have tried installing the OS using both UEFI and BIOS boot sections and in neither case does the SSD drive show up in the UEFI boot option screen. I would appreciate any suggestions. Dean |
