some of us do
ok sorry couldnt resist to be fair i do seem to have had very good luck right since back in march/april plugged in my good old 'never been on qvl' ram and set it right away to xmp 3200 dropped in the cheapest ryzen cpu (at the time) and dialed her right up to 3.9 first try even bought the rx480 brand new right before 580 launch for 2/3 the cost there selling for second hand on ebay right now..and its got 580ish core clock from factory (in fact my only grumble is the dam noisey fans on the asus dual cards) dropped in a evo 960 and it booted into setup no issue, same install since day one even took the FCU dreaded update no issue (* me thinks i should buy a lottery ticket soon * ) |

Thanks for the heads-up on BCLK and NVMe! I'll definitely put more read into it before I start doing it.
Bullzoid is annoying AF. His ranting is purely coincidental with mine, rest assured. Videos have some insights, though, if you know where to look. Well, it won't work wonders if you don't already know what you're doing, but it will certainly help you if you do. |

p.s. bullzoid drives me insane
i find him similar to a 5yr old overdosed on food additives and sugar, one video in particular ranting about taichi bios he just kept repeating his childish whining for over 20 mins brian mclochlin (chew) and bryan yestechcity both do more easy watching videos |

do not try to play with bclk and a nvme ssd it will corrupt your files......................... they say....its sort of ok - safe to use upto 103 bclk.....yet some also have had it frack their drive myself i confess i even found bclk a large reason to buy the taichi, and then i started to read about bclk and the pci bus and the nvme drives on that bus |

Yep! Sometimes common sense is lacking. Better safe than sorry. I don't know when but I'm certainly going to try the whole BCLK wizardry that Tom's suggest. Looks very promising, esp. if I can loosen the RAM timings to 12! |
