I used the Samsung migration utility to setup a 960 EVO as a Windows boot drive on the AB360 Gaming K4.

If I switch the 960 over to the M2_2 slot, it boots up fine (at SATA speeds).

If I leave it in the M2_1 slot, the BIOS sees it, it will boot and start to load windows, but gets a blue screen of death right after the windows logo. It goes by really fast. No idea what the screen says.

Should the 960 be able to run as a boot drive in the M2_1 slot with Windows 7?

I'd like to know before trying the slip streaming method.

Thanks.
