Wrong, wrong, I was too hasty...
just combine them and connect fully. GPU has 2x 2x4 slots, not 2x 2x3... |

Ok, it's clarified...
You should use both in both cases. For GPU use both 6 pin connectors, leaving the 2-pin ends loose. |

Hi,
I'm wondering how to connect my motherboard https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B650%20Steel%20Legend%20WiFi/index.asp#Overview and the PSU https://www.fsplifestyle.com/en/product/VITAGM850W.html I've got Ryzen 7600, 7900 GRE combo. So for CPU I have (atx12V1 and atx12V2) 2x 8 pin on PSU and 2x 8 pin on Mobo, however both cables are 2x4 on one end and on the other they are split 2x 2x2. The split side has to go into mobo (physically no other way) but do I need to connect both cables or just one? Similar story for GPU pcie cables. They're split on one end into 2x3 and 2x1. |
