Considering that there are no Gen5 GPUs yet, I wouldn't worry it would be pretty
silly if motherboards didn't support what's currently available |

Thanks very much for this. I assumed that would be the case but getting formal confirmation is good. Crying-for-the-moon-perfect would of course be if someone who has this combination running on this board and show something like GPU-Z showing the detected config being PIIE4x16! https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley36.gif

Yes, it shouldn't have any issues. The board should automatically select PCIe 4.0
for your GPU. |

Hi there
First post/question as I intend buying an X870 Pro RS mobo soon. I am hoping someone could confirm that a PCIE4x16 RTX4080 Super GPU would connect at PCIE4x16 speed when in the main PCIE5x16 PCIE1 slot on the motherboard. The internet is - as usual - full of confusing, conflicting and misleading comments in this regard. Thanks! |
