ps: That isn't a false positive.
A Windows executable that can access a system at low levels will always flag AV. |

Never flash within Windows. That is asking for a bricked motherboard/BIOS. Download and use the Instant Flash file. We're big enough to build our own, we're big enough to use Instant Flash. ![]() |

I just download BIOS update 7.40 Windows version for the Z170M Extreme4. I opened the zip file and dragged the EXE onto my desktop (Windows 10). Windows Defender immediately quarantined the EXE file with this message.
This might be a false positive but I'm certainly not going to try running it until I'm sure! |
