Shame on me
![]() It seems that a BIOS update for Skylake security is not transferring all the preset options. As such BBS settings for devices were disabled except for DVD drive. Once manually reset to my specs the boot worked fine. Issue resolved. Never fully trust the update procedure. Please makes sure you vist EACH BIOS setting after the update to make sure it contains the values you want. |

Asrock Fatality Z170 Gaming K6 has isues with NVMe Samsung SSD after BIOS update to Bios P7.40 for CPU security.
I have a stable Windowes 7 installed on a Samsung NVMe SSD. Booting was quick and fine. Noe after BIOS update I have problems Boot results in error "No bootmgr found" In the BIOS I can only see the additional hard drives and DVD drive NO SSD However, while pressing F11 at boot I CAN see and select the NVMe SSD Boot continues fine and windows is working OK What changed in the new UEFI that is causing the SSD not to be seen or seleceable? What do I need to do / update / change to set boot sequenc back to NVMe SSD? Thanks in advance for your guidance |
